Privacy notice

Version v2-2026-10. Applies to the Dictationer First Edition waitlist.

What we collect

Your email, the language you write in, whether you agreed to occasional tips, and anything you choose to tell us in the optional questions (name, what you write, where your book is, what stops you, the plan you would choose, a WhatsApp number). We also record which link brought you here, your device type, your approximate city and country, and when you joined.

Why

To run the waitlist, give you early access, credit your referrals, and decide which features and languages to build first. Writing tips are sent only if you ticked that box.

Who processes it

Cloudflare (hosting and the waitlist database), Umami (anonymous event analytics) and Brevo (the confirmation email, and writing tips only if you opted in). We never sell your data. If you press play on the demo video, it loads from YouTube (Google), which then applies its own privacy policy; nothing from YouTube loads until you press play.

How long we keep it

Until 12 months after launch if you never start using the app, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.

Your choices

You can withdraw consent, see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Reply to our welcome email or write to privacy@yourdomain; we act within 7 days. You can also complain to India's Data Protection Board.

If you are outside India

Your data is stored and processed by Cloudflare, whose network spans many countries, so it may be handled outside your own country. If you are in the UK, the EU or the EEA, our legal basis is your consent; you can withdraw it at any time, and you can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO). If you are in California, we do not sell or share your personal information.

Age

The waitlist is for people aged 18 or over.

हम क्या लेते हैं

क्यों

सूची चलाने, आपको पहले मौका देने, आपके रेफ़रल गिनने, और यह तय करने के लिए कि पहले कौन-सी सुविधाएँ और भाषाएँ बनें। लेखन-सलाह तभी भेजी जाती है जब आपने वह बॉक्स चुना हो।

डेटा कौन संभालता है

Cloudflare (होस्टिंग और सूची का डेटाबेस), Umami (बिना पहचान वाले इवेंट आँकड़े) और Brevo (पुष्टि ईमेल, और लेखन-सलाह केवल आपकी सहमति पर)। हम आपका डेटा कभी नहीं बेचते। डेमो वीडियो चलाने पर वह YouTube (Google) से लोड होता है, और उस पर YouTube की अपनी गोपनीयता नीति लागू होती है; प्ले दबाने से पहले YouTube से कुछ भी लोड नहीं होता।

कितने समय तक

लॉन्च के 12 महीने बाद तक, अगर आपने ऐप इस्तेमाल शुरू नहीं किया, या जब तक आप हटाने को न कहें, जो भी पहले हो।

आपके अधिकार

आप सहमति वापस ले सकते हैं, अपना डेटा देख सकते हैं, सुधार सकते हैं या हटवा सकते हैं। हमारे स्वागत ईमेल का जवाब दें या privacy@yourdomain पर लिखें; हम 7 दिन में कार्रवाई करते हैं। आप भारत के डेटा संरक्षण बोर्ड से शिकायत भी कर सकते हैं।

अगर आप भारत से बाहर हैं

आपका डेटा Cloudflare रखता और संभालता है, जिसका नेटवर्क कई देशों में है, इसलिए यह आपके देश से बाहर भी संभाला जा सकता है। ब्रिटेन, यूरोपीय संघ या EEA में हमारा कानूनी आधार आपकी सहमति है; आप इसे कभी भी वापस ले सकते हैं और अपने देश की डेटा संरक्षण संस्था (ब्रिटेन में ICO) से शिकायत कर सकते हैं। कैलिफ़ोर्निया में हम आपकी निजी जानकारी न बेचते हैं, न साझा करते हैं।
